On Monday, CarbonfreeDC hosted a workshop on clean transportation options lead by two experts in advanced vehicles: Beniot Colin (w/ Plug In America) and Seena Faqiri (w/ EcoDrivingUSA).

Our presenters lead an excellent workshop, explaining how to choose between diesel/gas/hybrid/plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicles, depending on your own commute and living situation. They also gave advice on how to reduce your environmental footprint and save money in a traditional vehicle with special "hypermilage" and city driving techniques. Lastly, we'll delved into the evolution of transportation in the DC Metro area specifically.

Thanks again Benoit and Seena!

I’m pushing for a PLUG-IN (CNG) HEV (hybrid ELECTRIC) vehicle.

700 miles or more between fill ups is doable with a PLUG-IN (CNG) (hybrid ELECTRIC) vehicle.

The battery technology has been developed.

It’s said the battery will charge in minutes and provide a range of 500 miles.
