Several websites and organizations were mentioned in the piece, including In Our Backyard and AllforGood.org. It is an honored to be mentioned alongside these notable groups.

What did Time.com say about Carbonfreedc? Join a neighborhood volunteer group like Brooklyn's In Our Backyard and Washington's CarbonfreeDC, which help groups of friends partner on projects — like planting gardens and teaching people how to green their homes — and have some fun along the way.

There is so much exciting coverage of the Extreme Green Neighborhood Makeover lately, we can't believe it!

A few days ago we shared with you Rhys' radio interview with National Geographic Weekend. Today we are happy to announce that Treehugger.com, a leading environmentalist website, mentioned our project as one of the winners of the National Geographic competition. They only mentioned two of the winners, so this is a big deal.
